On the 21st January 2012 a special resolution was passed by the founding committee of management of Friends Of CFA Volunteers Inc that the intellectual property of FOCFAV will be a working arm of Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria (VFBV).

All parties concerned welcome this as a positive growth for FOCFAV as VFBV
Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria represents the CFA's 60000 volunteers
statewide.
In the spirit of good will CEO of VFBV, Andrew Ford, recognised the importance of the legal entity of Friends Of CFA Volunteers Inc be transferred to Landscape Of Compassion Inc. This will allow the intent in which money was raised by the founding committee to continue to fund programs and events which will include CFA Volunteers and their families. The programs and events are also outside VFBV current ‘statement of purpose'.
Founder of FOCFAV and founding committee member of Landscape Of Compassion Inc, Pamela Clune, is grateful to Andrew for his insight and belief in both organisations intent and welcomes exploring options for future partnerships which will offer additional continued support for CFA volunteers and their families.

Fire Services Commissioner Craig Lapsley has provide you with an update to the summer fire awareness campaign and the television advertisements which are currently airing as part of that campaign.
There are three separate television adverts airing over the next three months as part of the campaign. While each holds a different fire-safety message for the community, they are all similar in their design. We know the adverts have been distressing for some community members deeply affected by the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires.
VIEW a letter from Craig which discusses the adverts and provides a direct link to a website with more information for affected members about the campaign.
Volunteer Fire Brigade Victoria CEO, Andrew Ford, and Pamela Clune, founder of Friends Of CFA Volunteers Inc, recently held discussion regarding Friends Of CFA Volunteers Inc future growth.
When we first introduced ourselves and FOCFAV organisation to Andrew he shared vision of starting a 'Friends Of'. VFBV is now ready and have the capacity to take over FOCFAV which would allow growth reaching statewide instantly.
As a committee we see this as very positive future for FOCFAV and will deliver additional support to CFA Volunteers and their families. more info soon
